Minutes of LVOTSL 21 August 2006 Meeting at the Bethlehem Jeff’s

Attendance: Tim Gilman (Gold), Bill Wagstaff (WL Strikers) Josh Guzman (Cementeros), Paul Feher (WL Strikers), Rich Chambers (Demo’s), Jim Bus (Parkland), Tom O’Neill (Deep Run II), Jose Mendez (Olimpia), ASC (Joe Duh Jr.), Phoenix (Carlos Ortega), MRK Hoswindow (Tim Herb), Vince Garcia (Demo’s), Richard Orlowski, Hamdija Todorovac

Absent – Kenbro, WL Kickers, Deep Run I, WL Seniors, PAC, Deportivo Peru

Meeting was called to order at 7:50 PM.

Previous Meeting Minutes:
Minutes from the 14th of March 2006 meeting were summarized by secretary and approved.

Traveling LVOTSL Trophy was presented to Tim Herb on behalf of MRK Hoswindow as league champions for the 2005-2006 Season.

2006-2007 LVOTSL Soccer season is the 18th season.

Games Commissioner
1. Paul Feher to accept position as Games Commissioner and will no longer be league secretary.

Treasure’s Report
Web-Site Manager (Fred Farbod)
1. No Report – out of town.
2. League Dues for 2006-2007 Season in amount on $75.00 to be collected at next meeting.

Registrar’s Report (Alfredo Perez)
1. No Report – out of town.
2. Player registration forms can be faxed to Alfredo at 610.264.6050. Originals must then be mailed to Alfredo.
3. Free transfer of players who occur before start of season.
b. Transferring of players must sit out 1 game after season starts.

Vice President Report (Bill Wagstaff)
1. Contact Bill for any field conflicts and/or availability problems so schedule for season can be finalized.

2. Cementeros new home field. Games to be played at Hanover Township Community Park.
3. WL Kickers home games to be played at Air Products (Field 1).
4. Fall 2006 season to start on 9th September.

Referee Assignor (Hamdija)
1. Referee fees for 2006-2007 are as follows:
(1) Referee = $66.00 (1/2 split from each team $33.00)
(2) Referees = $55.00 each from both teams
a. Referee fees to be reviewed for 2007-2008 season.

Motion: passed unanimously to accept referee fee increase based on use of current referee reporting system.

2. Team rosters must be filled out completely and names with uniform numbers printed correctly.
3. Hum to remind all referee’s that fields must be properly marked with lines, nets, and corner flags and if missing to document problem on game report form.
4. Hum’s can be reached at his cell 610.428.6790.

Over 40 (Tim Gilman)
1. Jorge Camacho retired at end of Spring 2006 season as coordinator.
2. New coordinators Bob Wirtshafter and Tim Golden.
3. Games to be played at Lehigh County and Saucon C.

New Business (Tim Gilman)
1. Richard Orlowski president and representative from FC Kopernik Pocono.
a. Made presentation to league for consideration of FC Kopernik Pocono joining league.
b. Polish American team from Tobyhanna/Stroudsburg area.
c. Current home field is Tobyhanna Soccer Fields.

Motion: To accept FC Kopernik Pocono as 17th team to the LVOTSL with condition they secure home field located in Synderville area for the 2006-2007 season.

a. Passed unanimously with league condition of home field location change.
i. Welcome FC Kopernik Pocono to LVOTSL.
ii. FC Kopernik Pocono on 1-year probation period for new team.
i. To be reviewed after completion of that year and to be accepted a permanent member of league.
2. Present point system for regular and playoff games in effect for 2006-2007 season.

Motion: Traveling trophy to be retired after completion of 2006-2007 to the team with most championships.
i. Passed unanimously.

Next league meeting is scheduled for TBD
