Minutes of LVOTSL Meeting at the Turffclub

March 6, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 pm

Previous Meeting Minutes:

Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Richard Chambers and accepted.

Vice-Presidents Report:

  1. Tim Gilman reports that Bill Wagstaff has resigned as league vice president.
  2. There was a motion to nominate Jim Bus as vice-president.  This motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
  3. Jim Bus had no report.

Treasurer’s Report:

Fred Farbod reported the balance of the checking account, the savings account and the total.  Fred also provided details of outstanding fines to the date of this meeting.  These figures are provided on addendum 1.

Website Manager:

  1. A recommendation was made that the teams download the game line-up sheets and type in the names of the players so that they can be easily read.
  2. A recommendation was submitted that the website manager be able to accept game reports via fax or scanned and emailed in pdf format.
  3. Host Windows made a motion that the electronic images of the game reports be acceptable in lieu of mailed reports.  The motion was amended to require teams to keep copies of all forms until the end of the season.  The motion was seconded and passed with one dissenter.
  4. A request was made that all teams review and update the contact information on the website.

Games Commissioner:

  1. Paul Feher reminded all that the games commissioner must be notified of any field changes along with the referee assignor.
  2. The games commissioner can be contacted by telephone at 484-357-4160 or by email at paul@feher.us.
  3. Paul also reminded the teams that both teams involved must verify information on the game report after each game.

Registrar’s Report:

Alfredo Perez was traveling and unavailable to make a report.

Referee Assignor (Hamdija)

  1. Hum reminded the teams that a referee is entitled to remove a player from the field temporarily, with no card, in order to allow him to cool off.
  2. Hum requested that the team managers submit to him any complaints or comments about the referees.

Over -40 (Tim Gilman)

  1. Bob Wertshafter will submit information to the website manager to update the website.  He has rescheduled all postponed games.  The new schedule is available on the website.

Old Business:

1.      There are two games to be made-up; FC Kopernic vs. Olympia and PAC vs. Deep Run 1.

New Business:

1.      The proposed start of the spring schedule is March 31st.

2.      Host Windows requests the board notify the teams at least two weeks ahead of the next league meeting.  Host Windows further requests that an agenda be provided to the teams so that they can be prepared for the meeting.

3.      Kenbro proposes Player’s Passes to remedy some of the problems with player identification.  Hundija will look into fees with the EPSA.

4.      A question was posed as to the referee’s responsibility to check player passes if the league requires it.  Humdija will research.

Additional Items:

1.      Deportiva Peru will not participate in the 2006-2007 season.
